Breast Cancer Support Group

"Breast cancer is scary and no one understands that like another woman who has gone through it too."  Mindy Sterling

Starting with the initial diagnosis, you really have no idea how this new identity of breast cancer patient is going to upend your life. You may be navigating tests and waiting for results, trying to find the right doctors and make choices about treatment options, losing breasts and hair and not recognizing yourself in the mirror, ringing the bell and trying to figure out what’s next, or fighting with insurance companies to get the services and support you need. You are generally doing these things with a cloud of fear hanging over your head, and usually still trying to care for your family and others around you just to feel a little bit like yourself again. It’s exhausting. It can be isolating. When you are putting all the energy you have into taking care of your physical health, it can feel almost indulgent to consider taking care of your emotional and mental well-being.

You are not alone.
